Belavia Airlines fleet will replenish four new Boeing 737 MAX 8. Today, at one of the largest air shows “Farnborough”, the agreement was signed by the Belarusian airline and the American Air Lease Corporation.

New aircrafts from the manufacturer in Seattle will come to Minsk in 2019-2020. The first plane in terms of this deal is expected in Minsk in May 2019. This will be the second direct delivery of absolutely new aircrafts from the plant of Boeing Corporation. So, in 2016, the airline acquired the ownership of 3 Boeing Next Generation 737-800.

The fourth-generation aircraft of the Boeing 737 MAX will allow the airline to decommission the Boeing 737 Сlassic, which will significantly rejuvenate the fleet, – Belavia’s press service said.

In April 2018 Belavia Airlines signed an agreement with the Irish company Nordic Aviation Capital Dac on the acquisition of 5 new Embraer Airplanes. It was the largest deal on the acquisition of new aircrafts in the history of the airline.

Belavia Airlines is seriously engaged in the renewal of their fleet. More powerful and economical engines of new airplane models will allow to significantly reduce fuel consumption, which means it will reduce ticket prices. Also, since the number of purchased aircrafts exceeds the number of decommissioned aircrafts, it can be assumed that in 2019-2020 the geography of Belavia’s flights will expand.
