Nov 18, 2019 Belavia increased the weight of hand luggage & lunched new tariffs without luggage. Thus, Belavia offers a business class tariff and 4 economy class tariffs: “Promo”, “Light”, “Smart”, “Flex”. New fare rules apply to tickets purchased from November 18. But rules for the weight of hand luggage – on all tickets, including those purchased before November 18.
Thus, the cost of tickets at the Promo and Light tariffs is the lowest. Both fares require travel only with hand luggage, the maximum weight of which is increased from 8 to 10 kg. At the same time, the cost of check-in baggage (if needed) is reduced from 50 to 25 EUR per item. Also, Promo and Light tariffs tickets can not be returned, and changes can only be made at an additional cost.
Smart tariff, in addition to hand luggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg, the price includes 1 piece of check-in baggage not exceeding 23 kg. Also, on the tariff of this class, you can choose a place in the plane. Changes and ticket refund are available for a fee.
In addition to hand baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg, Flex tariff is allowed to carry 1 piece of check-in baggage not more than 23 kg at no extra charge. Choosing a seat in the plane, changing and refund tickets for free.

Also, we want to recall about baggage allowance rules for our airport taxis. It is allowed one standard size suitcase per passenger. We do not charge for any baggage over limit if it will fit the trunk. Due to our terms and conditions we can refuse to transfer if baggage don’t fit the trunk. So, if you are in doubt pls, book a bigger car. If you use other way to get from the airport to Minsk remember that for extra baggage you will have to pay.
Hand Baggage Exceptions
It is important to remember the Belavia baggage allowance rules and limitations for cabin luggage. Under these rules it is not allowed to take all sharp, cutting and piercing objects, explosives, compressed and liquefied gases in hand luggage. As well as carry liquids with a total volume of 1 liter in packages of not more than 100ml.

The air company said that the cost of tickets without check-in baggage will be up to 65 euros cheaper than tickets with check-in baggage. Maybe this is true if company talk about the prices of tickets for one flight with and without check-in luggage. At the same time, as buyers noted, on Belavia website prices for tickets without check-in baggage decreased slightly (3-5 EUR), but for tickets with check-in baggage increased significantly (15-20 EUR).
In our opinion, in this way the company is trying to make money. And, again, in our opinion, this is extremely dishonest.
